This is the Tenets of Faith of Evangelical Fellowship Institute.
-
We believe that there is one true God, Maker of all things, eternally existent in the Trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became incarnate, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, resurrected, ascended to Heaven and is alive forever.
-
We believe that the Holy Bible, in its entirety, is the inspired Word of God, and the infallible basis for faith, fellowship and general conduct.
-
We believe that the Fall of Adam brought spiritual death and deprivation to mankind, necessitating redemption of sin and the personal salvation of believers by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit.
-
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by the initial sign of speaking with other tongues, as a subsequent experience to the New Birth.
-
We believe in sanctification as personal holiness of heart and life and as an act of separation from that which is evil.
-
We believe that divine health, protection, guidance and all-round prosperity (spirit, soul and body) of all saints, are part of the things that accompany salvation.
-
We believe in Christian discipleship and intensive evangelism in accordance with the Great Commission with signs and wonders following the uncompromised preaching of the Word of God.
-
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the saved to eternal joy and the lost to everlasting punishment.
-
We believe in imminent pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church to be followed by the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ seven years later to usher in a millennial reign of peace worldwide, the final judgment and the setting up of a New Heaven and a New Earth.
In addition to our Tenets of Faith we are driven by four commandments given by the Lord Jesus Christ. In His Olivet discourse Jesus prescribed FOUR things that should drive those who desire to reign with Him – Mt 42:42-47 (NKJV):
Watchfulness
“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”
Readiness
“Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
Faithfulness
“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?
Fruitfulness
“Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.”
We believe in the Mandate of Jesus.
We believe that the personal visible appearing of Jesus Christ on earth will be preceded by the evacuation of the true Church of Jesus Christ to heaven seven years earlier.
We believe that although no one knows the exact day or hour of church rapture those who have the mind of Christ do know the times and the seasons.
We believe that to be perfect in Christ as a living saint in this end-time period one must be in constant expectation of Jesus’ return.
We believe that all who partake of the first resurrection shall reign with Christ during the dispensation of the kingdom in varying roles of duty and responsibility. “Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years” (Rev 20:6 NKJV).
We believe that living saints should strive to qualify not only to be raptured but to reign with Christ in the millennium as His wife, a higher and privileged class to be selected and rewarded by Jesus from raptured saints at the Judgment Seat of Christ. “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready” (Rev 19:7 NKJV).
Therefore, we are persuaded that our mandate is to stir God’s people to be conscious of and prepare for the second coming of Christ by encouraging one another to be watchful, ready and fruitfully occupy their duty post as they look forward to the comfort of the rapture of the Church.
